Opium found hidden inside tennis balls at YYC Airport

Canada Border Services Agency officers were on the ball earlier this month at Calgary International Airport
On September 7th, a search turned up 3.3 kilograms of suspected opium hidden inside tennis balls.
The CBSA says officers notices anomalies inside the tennis balls, which were in a checked suitcase.
Inside, they found a black, tar-like substance that turned out to be opium.
They also found some steroids in the suitcase.
A suspect and the drugs were handed over to RCMP.
