Hitmen head into holiday break after loss

Calgary, AB The Lethbridge Hurricanes erased a pair of one goal third period deficits to defeat the Calgary Hitmen 6-4 Sunday at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Pittsburgh Penguins prospect Jordy Bellerive led the Canes with two goals and an assist while Dylan Cozens and Ty Prefontaine both added a goal and an assist.

Taylor Ross and Logan Barlage tallied the other Lethbridge markers helping the Hurricanes extend their winning streak to three games.

Kaden Elder paced the Hitmen attack with a goal and an assist with Mark Kastelic, Bryce Bader and Riley Stotts rounding out the scoring.

Despite the loss, Calgary will now head into their 11 day holiday break with a record of 9-3-1-1 in their last 14 games.

The Hitmen won’t return to action until Friday, Dec. 28 in Edmonton for a date with the Oil Kings.
